Utility Items Utility items are equipment which does not fall into the categories of clothing or armor and have a variety of capabilities. Unlike Armor and Weapons, no one utility item can conflict with another. Most utility items have a passive effect that players can activate by using them. However, some have additional abilities that can be activated by pressing a button, or by activating the skill. The Flashlight is the most popular utility item. It lights up the surrounding area. Other items that are useful include the Helicopter Cap and Rocket Boots which allow the player to float in mid-air while moving and the Jetpack that allows the player to accelerate in any directions when on the ground. Several useful items can be immediately produced in the Engineering section, while others are unlockable through Research projects or experimental projects in the Proving Ground. Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to those they have in their usual inventory by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Certain of these items can be upgraded for more efficient use. Most utility items provide the player with a navigational advantage or increase the ability to fight.
